Espresso banana health shake
Looking for a healthy shake after the gym? You’ll love this.
- 4 tsp espresso granule
- 2 tbs boiling water
- 2 large Cavendish Bananas
- 2 tbs vanilla protein powder
- 1 tbs rolled oats
- 11/2 cups chilled coconut water
- 4 tbs Greek yoghurt
- 1 tbs honey
- 4 ice cubes
Dissolve the espresso in boiling water. Chill in the freezer for 5 minutes.
Peel and chop bananas, place into a blender with protein powder, oats, coconut water, yoghurt, honey and ice cubes. Blend until smooth.
Pour into two glasses or jars. Spoon over the cold espresso, stir to combine. Serve.
Tip: During the warmer months, peel and freeze the bananas overnight, then blend following recipe above.
