Banana Trifle Recipe
Time to pull out and dust off Grandma’s Trifle Bowl
- 1 litre vanilla custard
- 1 can (400 grams) of sweetened condensed milk
- 1 tbsp vanilla essence
- 1 can whipped cream
- 2 packs of Tim Tams
- 5 bananas, sliced
- 1 bag of Banana lollies (optional)
In a large bowl, add in the vanilla custard, sweetened condensed milk and vanilla essence. Mix for around 2 minutes.
Fold in the whipped cream until smooth and set aside.
Use a Trifle Bowl (a large glass bowl will also do, if there isn’t a Trifle Bowl lying around, we’ll even settle for 6 glasses).
Get those kids of yours out and get them to start crumbling the Tim Tams up to make your first layer.
On top of that add on some sliced bananas and pour in some of the custard mixture.
Keep layering until happy.
Top it off with some whipped cream and maybe a couple of banana Lollies on top for the kids.
Pop in the fridge to chill.
And look we’re done, time to enjoy because baby we’re triflin’ now!
